The Cobra® Hybrid 8-18 Hardwood is the hardwood joist version of Cobra's professional concealed decking fastener — and the key difference from the softwood and aluminium variants is the screw. Hardwood is denser and more resistant than softwood or aluminium, so the hardwood clip comes pre-equipped with a larger 4.8mm diameter stainless steel self-drilling screw engineered specifically to achieve superior grip and pull-out resistance in dense hardwood joists — still without pre-drilling required.
The clip itself uses the same proven bi-material construction: an asymmetric stainless steel fin combined with a high-density polypropylene honeycomb body that respects and controls composite board movement while maintaining a high pull-out resistance. Compatible with most grooved composite boards from 23 to 25mm thick — including Everdeck®. Each pack contains 90 clips with pre-installed screws and a driver bit, ready to go straight from the box. Boards can be removed without damage if access is ever needed.
