The Cobra® Hybrid 8-18 Aluminium is the aluminium joist version of Cobra's professional concealed decking fastener — the same bi-material clip construction as the softwood version, but with a self-drilling stainless steel screw specifically designed to fix directly into aluminium joists without pre-drilling. If your deck subframe is aluminium rather than timber, this is the clip you need.
The bi-material design combines an asymmetric stainless steel fin with a high-density polypropylene honeycomb body, giving the clip high pull-out resistance while still allowing the controlled movement that composite decking boards need as they expand and contract. Compatible with most grooved composite boards from 23 to 25mm thick — including Everdeck®. Each pack contains 90 clips with pre-installed self-drilling stainless steel screws and a driver bit, ready to install straight out of the box. No pre-drilling required. Boards can be removed without damage if access is needed.
