The Durawall Driftwood Concrete Sleeper delivers the warm, textured look of weathered timber with none of the rot, maintenance, or deterioration that comes with the real thing. The distinctive driftwood surface texture adds natural character and visual depth to any retaining wall, making it as much a design feature as a structural solution, at home in everything from contemporary residential landscaping to large-scale commercial developments.
Beneath the surface, the engineering is uncompromising. Manufactured from 40MPa concrete and reinforced with 2 x N12 Australian steel reo bars, each sleeper is built to retain walls up to 4.0m high with a design life of 60 years. Every sleeper is produced to exact dimensions; cleaned, inspected, and independently tested to ensure consistency and that performance criteria is being met ,so every sleeper that arrives on site is exactly the same as the last.
A premium full depth coloured concrete pigment ensures the colour is dispersed deep into the concrete, giving a natural looking finish that is both UV and weather resistant; so the driftwood aesthetic doesn't fade, peel, or wear away over time. For properties within 1km of the ocean, rivers, or canals, hot dipped galvanised reo bar sleepers are available for superior long-term corrosion resistance in coastal conditions.
